Hijinks (aka Jinx) - adoption pending's Story
Jinx is full of fun! She enjoys an invigorating round of morning zoomies and can be quite the chatterbox, telling you all about her fun-filled day. She loves scratches and rubs, and her purr motor keeps going, even after you stop the rubs. She can be found most days snuggled in her blankets soaking up the heat from the fireplace — sometimes with her foster sister but always with her blankets.

Athletic Jinx can balance on the narrowest of perches, and she deftly climbs to get the optimal aerial views; she’d love a home with a cat tree where she can hone her climbing skills and survey her kingdom. Jinx also loves to watch the outdoor critters from the window perches, often vocalizing at them. She likes to be in control of her location; she prefers it when all four paws are on the ground (versus being picked up). She uses scratch pads appropriately.

Jinx, who comes when called, is super sweet but does take a little time to warm up. Jinx came to HART as a terrified stray but has come a long way in the past year. (She hides when there is a lot of noise, so a calm home would be best for her.) She has lived with two other cats and gets along with them fine. She likes to wrestle and quickly takes direction when told, “That’s enough.” She would probably do best in a home with another cat, as she is not alpha and seeks direction from her foster siblings. She has been exposed to dogs but hides from them. With the correct introduction period, her foster thinks Jinx could live with a respectful dog sibling.

Jinx, who was born in fall 2023, is spayed, negative for FIV/FeLV and up-to-date on shots. She is free fed with hard food — but this food-motivated girl is pretty adamant that she gets a spoon of wet food each morning. She has toys that dispense treats to keep her active kitten mind engaged. So far, she has figured the toys out quickly.

Questions?
