HICKORY

Summer is here! Warmer weather is here and so are lots of kittens and older cats that need homes! Please consider adopting- especially some of our older residents! Maybe even two kittens or cats? Remember every cat you adopt actually saves TWO cats lives and help countless more cats & kittens! When you adopt one cat, it makes room to save another! Win! Win! The kitties thank you too!

This is Hickory!
Hickory is a domestic short haired brown tabby, neutered male, up to date on his shots and around 8 months old. Hickory is available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cat from Griffith Animal Control/Treasured Friends Rescue in Northwest Indiana!

Hey there! I’m Hickory! I'm the sweetest little tabby boy around! Do you need burst of energy and a whole lot of fun in your life? Look no further, here I am!! I am constantly on the move looking for pets and always ready to turn anything into a game! I am obsessed with making new (human or kitty) friends too!! I was found outside, but lucky for me I ended up at the shelter! I know my life could have been so much different on the streets. I'm so happy I get lots of pets now! I can be totally fun and goofy too! I'm still looking for my forever home! So what do you think? Can I share my happiness with you?

If you're not convinced....Don't let my playful kitten energy fool you! I am the sweetest boy you could ever meet. The very second I'm done playing with my favorite toys all I want is to cuddle up with someone! I am just a big bundle of cute and I have so much love to share! I’ve got all the personality and a sweet heart that is so ready to belong to a real family. Maybe you can come meet me at PetSmart in Schererville? I get along with other kitties ( if you already have one!). Older kids are okay but I'm not sure about dogs though. I hope you'll come and visit me soon! I can't wait!!

If you’re looking for a sweet, happy little ray of sunshine kitty, please give Hickory a chance to be your best friend! Make an appointment to meet him or just stop by PetSmart in Schererville to say hi! Volunteers are there from the rescue every Saturday from 12pm-4pm and you can meet him then too! Hickory would love it! Also, please fill out an adoption application which can be found online at TreasuredFriendsRescue.org or follow the link from our profile at Petfinder (scroll all the way down to the bottom of the main page)
*****************************************
Griffith Animal Control, in partnership with Treasured Friends Animal Rescue believes in giving kitties that others wouldn't give a chance, a helping hand at getting a forever home. Our volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to gain their trust to show them they are safe and no one will hurt them. However, when the kitties go to a new home, some will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months. We are always here to help with any questions Please, only apply if you are an experienced cat owner or are willing to provide patience and good forever home.
Thank you!
