Hiccup's Story
Hi! I’m Hiccup, a sweet, smoke-coated Domestic Longhair kitten —which means underneath my dark dragon-y exterior, I’ve got a magical silver shimmer in my coat. Pretty cool, right? I like to think it makes me look a little bit like I’m smoldering… you know, in a tiny, non–fire-breathing way.

One very heroic flaw: my tongue is oftentimes sticking out just a little bit, like I’m concentrating really hard on… well… everything! I may not be a Viking, but I’ve definitely got the goofy charm of my namesake from How to Train Your Dragon.

Just like the original Hiccup, I’m a bit clumsy—I haven’t quite mastered the art of graceful landings yet. Sometimes I leap like I’m mounting a dragon… and sometimes I miss. But I promise, it’s adorable every. single. time. Despite my wobbly warrior ways, I’m incredibly sweet, snuggly, and affectionate. If dragons ran on cuddles instead of fire, I’d be unstoppable.

I’m already neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and litter trained, so I’m fully prepared for my next epic quest: finding my fur-ever home!

If you’ve ever wanted your own tiny dragon (with slightly better house manners), come meet me during business hours of 10am to 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday! Contact the shelter at 989-348-4117 or avascares2@gmail.com with any questions. I can’t wait to stick my tongue out at you and maybe trip into your arms—purely by accident… probably!
