Hibou's Story

Hibou was bought from a pet store as a kitten and given away as a gift to someone who never wanted a cat!! They kept him in a hallway for 1.5 yrs and fed him Meow Mix dry on the floor! When they were finally done with him, they tried to sell him, and luckily our rescue intervened!! We moved him into foster care and he is truly thriving! He is playful, happy, and a gorgeous little flat faced cat. We think he would do well with a playmate as he has high energy and is a young male only around 2 years old. He tends to be very cautious and shy at first so will need a patient adopter that will let him blossom on his own timeline (won't be long!)

Big Apple Cats's Adoption Policy

Adoption process is as follows: 1- Please fill out pre-adoption application 2- Kelly our director will contact you to talk about the application and then will call references. Once an application is received we can also set up a meeting in the foster home. 3- virtual or in person home visit to make sure residence is safe for cats. 4- Adoption fee of $150 per cat/kitten along with signing adoption forms.
