Hereswith Horchata's Story

Current location: Grinnell, IA
Can be transported to Madison, WI

Hereswith (HARE-iss-with) Horchata, an orange-and-white tabby kitten who inherited her mother Rory’s adorable spots, enjoys chasing spring toys, napping on your lap, and getting pets. Although she can be a bit shy at first, once she gets to know you, she is very affectionate and vocal, with a ready purr and the cutest little mews. Hereswith is the daintiest of her siblings, but she was the first to learn how to leap up to high places. She gets along well with our adult cats, and loves exploring.

Inspired by Saints Rest Coffee House, her mother’s hangout while pregnant, Hereswith Horchata is named after St. Hereswith, a seventh century Northumbrian saint (sister to St. Hilda) and horchata, a delicious, often rice-based beverage.

Hereswith is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines (rabies and FVRCP). In lieu of an adoption fee, we ask that you donate an amount of your choosing (sliding scale) to Iowa Humane Alliance, the organization that provided Hereswith’s medical care.

Email, text, or call to set up a time to meet Hereswith!

More photos and video of Hereswith and her siblings are available at instagram.com/chortleton.kitten.academy
