Hera's Story

Hera started life dodging cars and hiding in the drainage pipes under the parking lot of an apartment complex, until she and her two sisters were trapped and sent to foster for socialization. Mom was too wild to make the transition to house cat, but we made sure she was spayed so there would be no more kittens.

Hera is a playful and affectionate young lady with beautiful dark stripes, who enjoys toys with movement action, and chilling with her foster dad on the couch in the evenings. She is hoping to find an indoor home where she can be safe and loved.

Hera enjoys the company of other cats and wants to have have a friend in her new home. She and her sister Athena would love to stay together, and Hera promises that she is affectionate enough for both of them.

Contact us for more information!

***********************************************************************************************
Unless noted to be ok as a single cat, it is a solid requirement to either have another kitten/cat in the home or adopt two kittens, preferably littermates, together.
We agree with the experts on cat companions, especially for kittens:
http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens
https://catbehaviorassociates.com/adopting-a-kitten-make-it-a-double/
https://www.petpartners.com/blog/9-reasons-to-get-two-kittens-instead-of-one
https://www.thesprucepets.com/two-kittens-better-than-one-555608
https://hydeparkcats.org/two-kittens-the-benefits-of-adopting-in-pairs/
https://spcanova.org/why-kittens-are-adopted-in-pairs/

We are looking for loving, attentive, forever homes where our adoptable kittens will be cared for and loved as well as have all of their physical and emotional needs met.

***********************************************************************************************
Apply to adopt at www.kudzucatalliance.org/adoption

or email adopt@kudzucatalliance.org for more info!

***********************************************************************************************
By the time of adoption:
All kittens/cats with Kudzu Cat Alliance have been combo tested for FIV/Felv, age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, spay/neuter, and microchip.

Adoption fees

Why we have them:
Most of our kittens come from a rough start in life and we invest a great deal of time, energy, physical effort, resources, and money getting them healthy and ready for a forever home. Our baseline investment per kitten/cat when they are totally healthy averages $150, though that can easily increase, depending upon health/medical issues, into hundreds or dollars. Everyone with Kudzu Cat Alliance is a volunteer.]

What they are:
Single adoptions (only if there is another kitten/cat already in the home, unless otherwise specified) -- kittens 12 months and under are $125; cats, over 12 months, are $100;
Pair adoptions -- kittens 12 months and under are $200; cats, over 12 months, are $150.

Donations:
If you want to help us continue saving these often overlooked lives we welcome and very greatly appreciate donations -- one time donations, regularly recurring donations, or donations in addition to adoption fees, and even sponsorship of kitten/cat care or adoption fees. To donate either text KUDZU to 44-321 or visit kudzu.link/ally or visit https://kudzucatalliance.org/support/

Is the kitten/cat in this profile available to adopt:
If you see a kitten/cat listed, the cat is available for inquiries and applications to be submitted.

Please feel free to contact us at adopt@kudzucatalliance.org for any specific questions!
