Henry's Story

Meet Henry, There is no one more dignified then this young man. He is a true companion cat. He loves to be near people & gets lots of love and affection. His favorite past time is laying near you. He would be content hanging out with you all day laying around with a little play time in there too. He is a true hunter as well. Hide anything and he will find it. No mouse will survive long with Henry on the case. He will not stop until he finds his pray. He gets along well with everyone he meets & has little to know fear, just don't come up on him while he is on the hunt he will jump. We learned that lesson in the funniest of ways. Ask us about it we will be happy to share. We love our animals & spend as much time as we can socializing and giving them enrichment as often as possible. Henry will even run on a cat wheel. Not many of cats will use that toy. His favorite is the cat tree basket looking out the class door at what is going on at the animal shelter. If you are looking for a very dignified cat as a companion that will protect and love you Henry might just be the regal feline you are looking for.

Atlantic Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoption Process at the Atlantic Animal Shelter Anyone interested in adopting an available animal must first participate in a staff-supervised meet & greet with the pet of their choice. Before the visit begins, a liability waiver must be signed. Our staff oversee these visits to help ensure that the potential adopter and the animal are a good fit for one another. During this time, we’ll ask questions about the adopter’s home life, share important details about the animal’s personality and needs, and provide guidance to support a successful match. In some cases, additional steps are required, including: A completed adoption application References Contact with the adopter’s veterinarian Written approval from a landlord (if the adopter does not own their home) Our goal is to make sure every animal is placed in a safe, loving, and appropriate home where they can thrive.
