Hemi's Story

Did you just say to yourself, that what your home is missing is a cat with the biggest thumbs in town? If so, we have the kitty for you! This is the handsome as can be, Hemi. Hemi came to us through no fault of his own, but only after his previous owner was unable to care for him any longer. Sweet Hemi is a senior boy, with an estimated birthdate of 11/1/10, so he's about 14 years. old. Even though Hemi is an older kitty, he still gets around just fine, and even plays quite a bit. He really likes wand toys that have strings attached to them. But lets be honest, he's an old guy, and his most favorite thing in the world is to be cuddled up on a couch with his person, or staring out the window from a nice, soft kitty tree. Hemi is on sensitive tummy dry food and takes medication for hyperthyroidism twice a day (and he's really good about taking it.) Shelter staff can give you more information about this, if you are interested in him.
Hemi is a good boy and doesn't ask for much. We would love to see him find his forever home soon, as the shelter is just no place for a senior kitty, who just wants a peaceful place to live. We think he would do best as an only cat, and we don't know for sure how he is with dogs, but would likely be fine with a respectful dog. Do you have room in your home to adopt this pretty cool polydactyl boy? If so, please complete an application and once approved, schedule a meet and greet.

West Jefferson, Ohio
#hsmcohio

Our adoption fee is $100.00 for kittens up to 6 months of age and $80 for cats 7 months and older. It includes: a microchip, spay or neuter, set of shots, de-worming, and a 1-year rabies vaccine (if old enough). Fees can be made by cash or credit card. Please go to our website, www.hsmcohio.org to fill out an application.
