Heidi - Working Cat's Story
Do you own a barn, stable, or just have a lot of land? Looking for someone to help you keep it looking tidy and pest free? Then meet Heidi, one of our working cats! Heidi is what we call a "working cats" because they do just that, work! Working cats have more of a rough and tumble personality and prefer to be outdoors doing their job than indoors getting pets. They prefer the company of other animals to humans and like to approach people at their own pace. Although they do not enjoy being cuddled by their humans, they love to help them out by helping catch any pests. Heidi is looking for a home/owner who can utilize her special skills. Sound like the cat for you? Stop by and employ/adopt Heidi, today!

If you'd like to meet our available pets, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Michael R. Frey Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalservices/adopt
