Heidi's Story
Meet Heidi!

Heidi is a ~2-year old female that came to FCHS very pregnant. She was moved to a foster home and had a litter of five beautiful babies the very next day! She has been an incredible mom - caring for her little ones, cleaning them, teaching them, and loving them. They are all happy and healthy kittens.

Heidi is loving, affectionate, and sweet. She loves pets and to curl up in your lap.

This sweet mama is FIV positive. FIV positive cats can live long, happy lives. Their risk of transmitting FIV to another cat that they get along with is low, as it is usually transmitted through deep puncture wounds in fighting. Research has shown cats living in a mixed household have had low transmission rates of FIV https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24698667/.
