Hei Hei's Story
Meet Hei Hei (pronounced hay hay)!
This beautiful black-and-white girl has a gentle, reserved nature. She's only ever known one family, so the world outside of that can feel a little big and unfamiliar to her. Because of this, she's a bit shy with new people at first - but once she feels safe and settled, her sweet personality slowly starts to shine.

Hei Hei has briefly met younger children in her previous home and wasn't a huge fan. She prefers a quieter environment with no children or only older, respectful kids who can give her the space she needs. She's an independent lady who enjoys affection but strictly on her own terms - she'll come find you when she's ready for pets and attention.

She has lived with multiple cats and has done all right with them. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition.

While Hei Hei's favorite toy is her laser light, she's definitely more of a nap enthusiast. Lounging in cozy spots, relaxing in peaceful corners, and enjoying calm company are some of her best-loved pastimes.

If you're looking for a lovely, low-maintenance companion who appreciates both independence and gentle affection, Hei Hei might be the perfect match!

*Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee.

**Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals.
