Meet Hazel <br/><br/>Hazel is a beautiful tabby girl around 2 years old who has experienced more loss than any kitty should. She originally came into rescue after her owner passed away. Family stepped in to care for Hazel and her feline housemates, but sadly, tragedy struck again when that family member also passed away, leaving the cats once again without a home.<br/><br/>Despite everything she’s been through, Hazel is a very sweet girl with a wonderfully quirky personality. She can be a little shy when meeting new people and needs some time to feel safe and learn that she can trust you. Give her that patience, though, and you’ll be rewarded with a sweet companion who enjoys pets and lets her fun personality shine through.<br/><br/>Hazel gets along well with other cats and has previously lived with a dog, so we believe she could also do well with a cat-friendly dog with a proper introduction.<br/><br/>After losing her home and family twice, Hazel is ready for something permanent—a family of her very own who will give her the time, love, and security she deserves. <br/><br/>Hazel’s adoption fee is $100. <br/>She is available for Adoption and fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped.<br/>For more info or to meet this sweet girl in person, email adoptions.spspca@gmail.com.

South Plains SPCA's Adoption Policy
The South Plains SPCA believes that adopting an animal is a forever decision that should not be taken lightly.  We expect our adopters to be committed to loving our animals for the rest of their lives.   Adoption events are held every Saturday at 8901 Highway 87, Building 119, Lubbock, TX. Dog adoptions take place from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., and cat adoptions are 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. While not all of our animals come every weekend, our volunteers will be more than happy to talk to you about the animals you are interested in.  You can also send an e-mail to adoptions.spspca@gmail.com regarding any of our animals that you are interested in making a forever member of your family.  Meetings can be arranged outside of our Saturday adoption event, usually on Monday evenings for dogs and Wednesday evenings for cats.   We have an adoption application that must be filled our.  The adoption fee varies and is dependent on whether the pet is a dog or cat and age of the pet. The adoption fee covers the dog/cat being spayed or neutered, current vaccinations, heartworm/tick screening, and microchipped.  Indoor homes are preferred.
