Hazel's Story
Hazel and her sisters were living large on the streets. I believe they were handled and loved as baby kittens and then discarded.
Hazel is the most outgoing of the three. She practically wants to crawl under your skin for loves. You need to be careful about her poking your eye out with her enthusiastic nose bumps. But she is also cautious. Big noises, sudden moves can cause some anxiety.
Luckily Hazel and her sisters are VERY food motivated. This is how they were finally caught by a wonderful person in the neighborhood who couldn't stand to see more homeless kittens.
Hazel would be perfectly fine as an only kitty. She really wants all the attention and doesn't care to share. She has been exposed to our dogs and is not interested but doesn't care for too much attention from them.
Hazel is not a cat for children. She can reach out and scratch when she feels pressured.
Hazel has been living out in the big house for several weeks now and still retreats to the comfort of the bathroom. A nice safe space for her to call her own will be helpful with her introduction to a new home.
