Hayride's Story

The seasons are turning, and what's a better way to celebrate the coming of fall than with a kitty lovingly named for the season? Hayride came into the shelter with five of his siblings after being found in an alleyway. He's one of the shyer cats in his group, though he might not look like it if you see him rubbing up through the window! Hayride doesn't enjoy being picked up at this point in time, but he does like to be pet. We're still getting to know him, but with his young age, we hope he will continue to open up into a loving and playful cat as he settles in!

Due to his backstory, we don't know how Hayride feels about living with dogs and small children. He came into the shelter with five of his siblings and has shared space with his practical twin Harvest, so he should've had some experience with other cats, but we recommend slow, well-managed introductions after a decompression period to set everyone in the house up for success. Hayride seems like he might enjoy a quieter household for now, but you never know-sometimes the joy in rescuing a cat is getting to learn them as they learn themselves!
