Hawthorne's Story
Hawthorne - Handsome Observer Looking for a Calm Home

Meet Hawthorne, a handsome boy born in April 2023 (about 3 years old). He came from a TNR project at a business in Orwigsburg, PA after an employee reached out through the Save the Strays website to get help for the cats there.

Hawthorne is a shy guy at first, but once he bonds with someone he becomes comfortable and will start to approach for attention-on his own terms. He's the type of cat who enjoys quietly watching everything around him. In fact, he loves to "model" from high places and spy on people from the top of cat trees, shelves, or cozy teepee beds.

He's very food motivated, which helps win him over, and he enjoys Friskies treats, Purina or Friskies food, as well as crinkle balls, soft toys, and scratch posts.

Hawthorne would do best in a calm home with a predictable routine. Sudden movements or loud noises can make him jumpy, so a quieter environment will help him feel safe.

Home Preferences:
Good with other cats (though he can be a little dominant at times)
Fine with kids, as long as they are calm and respectful
Best in a low-population, quieter home
Prefers not to be picked up, but will approach for pets when he feels comfortable

Health & Care:
3-year Rabies vaccine
FVRCP vaccine
Microchipped
On monthly Revolution flea prevention
No known allergies or special dietary needs

Hawthorne is a thoughtful, observant cat who just needs a patient home where he can feel safe and build trust. For someone who appreciates a cat with a little independence and personality, Hawthorne could be a wonderful companion.

Interested in giving Hawthorne a quiet forever home?
