Hatto's Story

Meet Hatto! Hatto is a special kitty that was apart of the group of hoarding cats that we rescued from a home in unincorporated Kendall County. He is just a few years old, we think, but unfortunately we do not know as there were 77 cats in the home that we brought back to our shelter. Hatto came to us with a stump leg and not doing very well. We aren't sure if he was due to injury or birth defect, but decided that since he was using the leg as a crutch and causing further injury and pain, it would be best to amputate the remainder of the limb. Hatto then got his name as we named this entire group after noodles... Hatto is a type of "hand torn noodle", which we thought was appropriate because of his leg injury. He is very frightened here and we think he will do much better in a home. He gets along great with other cats so another friendly cat in the home would help him come out of his shell. His adoption fee is FREE due to his length of stay. If interested in meeting Hatto, stop by the shelter during our business hours, and if you have any questions about him call or email 630-553-9256 or animalcontrol@Kendallcountyil.gov. Since his arrival he has been neutered, had the leg amputation, is now vaccinated and microchipped and tested FELV/FIV negative.
