Harry's Story

This cat is part of our shelter outreach program where we take pets from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. FIV/Felv negative. Our 'Mobland' kittens arrived here at 8 weeks old, now they are already 1 year old—we can’t believe they’ve grown up here! :( Harry, Conrad, Maeve, and Serafina are calm, loving, easy going, and they’d love to go home in pairs so they can keep the fun (and cuddles) going. Please don’t let them spend much longer waiting—they’re ready to bring joy to a forever home! Harry is very affectionate with people, LOVES to headbutt and get belly rubs! He is the perfect balance between calm and playful. He purrs and rolls around when he is happy. He loves to be groomed with a brush and a warm, wet cloth. He really loves his kitty siblings too, since they all grew up together in the shelter. Jersey Shore Animal Center's Adoption Policy

The Jersey Shore Animal Center believes strongly in responsible and educated pet ownership and our adoption process is thorough and unhurried. We do not do same day or off site adoptions. We require you to be 21 years of age, with a valid ID to adopt from our facility. If you visit our shelter you will be taken on a guided tour by one of our volunteers to see our animals, and if you are interested, an adoption application will be supplied. Additional information will be required if you have not owned a pet in the last 5 years. The information you provide is very important to the JSAC. It helps assure us that proper annual veterinary care will be provided and the new home environment, whether it be a home, condo, apartment or other residence is appropriate. We work carefully with each family to help select the right pet for them. We do not adopt puppies or kittens 6 months of age or younger will not be adopted to families with children 6 years of age or younger. Your application will be processed and reviewed within 24-48 hours. Decisions on applications submitted on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be available after 1:00 on Monday. You may interact with the animal of your choice only after your application has been approved. Due to our lifelong return policy we prefer to adopt our pets locally, so we don’t adopt out of state. We do not list our pets on Ebay or Craig’s List, nor do we sell any animal.
