Harriet (bonded with Marv)'s Story

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Harriet and brother Marv are two grey and white peas in a pod. They not only look alike, they are both gentle sweethearts that any family would be so lucky to call their own.

Harriet, like her brother Marv, is a lovely long-haired kitten with charcoal grey patches on a snowy white coat, with symmetrical markings on her dainty little face and a cute black heart for a nose. Utterly adorable!

Affectionately called Harry, she was very shy initially. Before making up her mind about the new space and faces, she will hide and observe until she feels safe to venture out. A welcoming quiet space to begin with is crucial for Harry to progress in a positive way. Allowing her the time and space to come to you at her own pace builds trust with this timid kitty much more quickly.

Once Harry accepts you as her person, she becomes an unobtrusive and ever present companion; always within sight of you, sitting on chairs or couches waiting for you to notice her. She loves affection and pets, purring loudly to show her appreciation as she nestles beside you. Even if she wanted to keep a little distance from the action at times, she is never far. She is often found in your bed in the morning cuddled up to your feet, or nearby on the couch even if not being pet.

Harry is active and loves running around, chasing toys that are thrown or string toys she will play with for as long as you hold the wand. It’s wonderful to watch her play with sheer joy and delight.

Harry would flourish in a quiet home with Marv, and with owners who are home more than out. This pair of bonded siblings are very attached to and love to be around their chosen people. They would love to start building that beautiful bond with you, as soon as you come and take them home!

Would you like to make Harriet and Marv a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
