Harriet's Story

Meet Harriet 🐾

Harriet is approximately 11 months old and looking for a loving, quiet home to call her own.

She’s a very shy and timid girl who will do best in a calm, quiet household where she can feel safe and move at her own pace. Harriet was very timid when she first arrived in foster care and is still a little shy with strangers. The good news is she has already started to blossom—she now goes to her foster mom for pets and has even become good friends with the foster family’s dog!

Harriet enjoys having her own little safe spaces, and one of her favorite spots is tucked under her foster mom’s blanket. Once she’s comfortable with you, she’ll happily let you lift the blanket to give her some gentle pets and loving.

She’s not a fan of being picked up and prefers to keep all four paws on the ground, though that’s something we’re slowly working on. She hasn’t quite figured out laps yet—but once she does, watch out… she’ll probably be glued to you!

Harriet may take a little time to feel comfortable, but with patience, love, and a peaceful home she will continue to open up and show her sweet personality. Sometimes the quietest cats form the deepest bonds. ❤️

If you think Harriet could be the perfect companion for your home, please fill out an adoption application:

https://www.ismyrescue.org/mtolivetnr/adoption-application.html
