Harley Quinn's Story
Harley Quinn — A Senior Sweetheart Ready for Her Second Chance

Harley Quinn didn’t end up in rescue because she did anything wrong. She was surrendered to the shelter as a senior when her family moved — and after nearly a month in that stressful environment, it was clear she needed a softer landing. We welcomed her into rescue from the Sacramento SPCA so she could exhale and start over.

The good news? Her lab work looks great, and she even had a fresh dental. She may be a little on the chunky side (more to love!), so meal feeding will help keep her feeling her best and at a healthy weight.

Harley is an absolute sweetheart.

She is incredibly friendly and affectionate. She’ll gently head-butt your face or hands to ask for pets, and if she suspects you’re awake at night, you might feel a soft little lick on your finger or nose — just her quiet way of saying hello. It’s impossible not to fall for her.

Her fur is unbelievably soft and silky, with a beautifully fluffy coat that makes her extra snuggle-worthy. With her short legs and sturdy, cuddly build, she has the most endearing, huggable presence.

As she continues to decompress, Harley enjoys the comfort of the cat bed she’s claimed as her safe space. But spend a little time sitting with her, and she’s more than happy to hop into your lap for love and attention. She’s even shown a playful spark, especially when a fishing wand toy makes an appearance.

Harley is looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. She has so much affection to give — she just needs someone who understands that senior hearts sometimes need a little extra gentleness.

After everything she’s been through, Harley Quinn deserves a calm home, steady love, and a family who will never let her go again.

Follow her journey on Instagram: @returnoftheyeti

Please note:
- Harley Quinn would do best as an only child
- Indoor only

For more information or to apply for Harley Quinn, please go to:
https://www.givemesheltersf.org/adoption/cat.php?id=12376

[id=12376;ts=1772294420;src=pf]
