HANZEL & GRETEL Russian Blue Pittsburgh, PA

For these two....... I can't split them up,they need each other. I didn't get this boned pairs rescue on film or even a picture of the shambles these two were in. Their rescue went like this.... A friend that I have helped with outside cats before reached out saying that her neighbor put her two cats outside in the cold and said she did not want them anymore and did not bring them back inside and they are male/female & not fixed. So, my friend put a dog crate outside for them to try keep them warm. When I dropped off traps to her, we went to check on them and they were huddled inside of the crate with only frozen water, and I just shut the door. But they didn't know me, and the crate was too big to fit in my car, so I had to grab them out and put them inside the carrier for the ride to the rescue. They were wet and cold, but I think they felt I was there to help them and came to me very willingly. They are so friendly and affectionate. These two snuggle together. HANSEL is a CROSS EYED -RUSSIAN BLUE male and GRETEL is a petite little dilute tortie female. These two are an adorable pair. Come meet them and I know you’ll fall in love.


HANSEL and GRETEL are fully vetted that means spayed/neutered, dewormed, no fleas, -2 vaccines for FVRCP, their rabies vaccine, microchipped and tested for FeLV & FIV(both are negative). The combo test alone at a private vet will cost $120 but we already paid and did all the hard work for you. They need nothing but your love and care.


I am a small-town rescuer from Pittsburgh who pulls these helpless babies from unsafe situations and gets them fully vetted and into loving homes. I put a lot of my love, time and energy into the cats that come into my rescue. So, I am very familiar with them and their background because I rescue the cat,get them well and live with them until adoption. So you will have a unique insight into your cats background. So I am more 1-1 then the large shelters,more familiar with the cats history, and a small non profit so adopting from me supports the rescue and the TNR work I do for the community cats. Supporting small rescuers is very much appreciated in this crazy world. Honestly, we are the "boots on the ground" out there, taking on a lot without the resources or the popularity of the larger rescues.

Save Our Strays uses some of our profits and donations to get surgeries done for cats that have no one to pay to get them spayed/neutered (TNR). Our first two years we sterilized over 100 community cats, preventing 1000s of them from being born outside.
