Handsome

Handsome was trapped as a young adult in a backyard sewer. He was found with his mate, Lila, and their three kittens. None of the group were socialized, and it took a while for them to trust humans at all. Handsome is five years old now, a gorgeous boy, who has finally decided he would like a human family. He has never been a mean cat, simply one who saw no reason to interact with humans other than food. And food is his big motivator. Often described as a lazy boy, he started putting up with petting and brushing because it was too much trouble to move. It was probably a surprise to him to realize it was pretty nice, especially if the human also had treats! He still will hiss occasionally, but its all bluster and no aggression. We have waited to offer Handsome for adoption until we felt he truly was ready. He is! He will need at least one feline friend in his new home, as hes always lived with other cats. He is good natured with others, neutered, up-to-date with vaccinations, FIV/FeLV negative, has good litter box habits and is a very good eater. He is looking for a patient adapter who is willing to work with him and earn his trust. Handsome should be fine with older children who gave him space and time. This guy is so deserving of a great home, and we know its out there!
