Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.<br/><br/><br/>HAMLET, his 3 siblings (BANKURO - GATZ - DEVIL DIAS) and 4 older cat relatives were living in a tough area in Baldwin Park, California. These poor babies were living in someone's yard in the heat. The rescue mama happened to look on Facebook one day and saw the video of one of BANKURO''s possible siblings being chased by a coyote, Needless to say, the rescue mama set course the next day to pick them all up.<br/><br/><br/>HAMLET (named after the anime: ONE PIECE) has known the street life for a very short time. With all the tragedy that has happened to this boy and his family, he deserves to be have a wonderful home. He has now been living a nice pampered life. <br/><br/><br/>Meet HAMLET, a sweet and shy young adult looking for a quiet home! This handsome boy, named after the popular anime series One Piece, is a survivor from the streets of Baldwin Park, California. He and his family faced the dangers of coyotes before being rescued. This brave young adult, understandably, after this experience has made him a bit shy at first, but with a patient and loving approach, his sweet personality will shine through.<br/><br/><br/>While a bit reserved initially, HAMLET thrives on the companionship of his people and enjoys playing. He'll make sure you know when it's wet food time with a delightful fuss, and will bring a gentle sweetness to his forever home. HAMLET enjoys playtime, and thrives in a calm environment where he can feel safe and loved. He's looking for a forever family who will cherish his quiet loyalty and help him blossom into the confident, loving cat he's meant to be.<br/><br/><br/>HAMLET is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TUXEDO MIX. He is about 3 years and 3 months old, He is good with cats and non-reactive to dogs. He has never been around young children. <br/><br/><br/>HAMLET is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.<br/><br/><br/>ADOPTION PROCESS:<br/><br/>1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)<br/>2. Fill Out Online Form<br/>3. Submit Online Application<br/>4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview<br/>5. Will be notified of Approved Application<br/>6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)<br/>7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty<br/>8. Sign Adoption Contract<br/>9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)<br/>10. Take the Kitty Home<br/><br/><br/>********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP**********<br/><br/><br/>AUGUST 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. <br/><br/><br/>Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning ONLY. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3-hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays.<br/><br/><br/>******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ******************<br/><br/><br/>The kitties at foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. <br/><br/>+++++ PLEASE NOTE: We only have cats in Murrieta and City of Industry +++++<br/><br/><br/>PETSMART <br/><br/>in City of Industry, California off Colima Road<br/><br/>in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue<br/><br/>in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue<br/><br/>in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue<br/><br/><br/>The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done. Gas donations always appreciated!<br/><br/><br/>************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************<br/><br/><br/>If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.<br/><br/><br/>Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.<br/><br/><br/>We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue.
