Haggis's Story

Haggis (formerly Kitty) was an outdoor feral cat in our neighborhood. Over the course of a year, we befriended her by putting cat food and water outside for her and leaving the garage door open slightly so that she would have a warm place to rest in the winter. She became more comfortable around us each day and eventually let us pet her. We decided to scoop her up and bring her inside our house so that she didn't have to spend another winter outside. We kept her in a large kennel crate by a big window, separate from our other cats and dogs. We already have many pets and as much as we would love to keep her, we don't have room in the house for another cat. We want her to have a home where she can fully enjoy her life and not have to be kept in a kennel/crate. She enjoys cardboard scratch pads. Currently beginning to settle into the EAPL Cat Adoption Room at Chow Down in Evergreen. With so much going on in such a short time, a quiet home with someone who will give her plenty of time to acclimate would be best. Come meet this sweet girl to see if she'd be a good addition to your home. If interested in adopting her, please fill out a Cat Adoption Application on our website at www.eapl.com.
