Hadrian's Story

Birthday: November 28, 2022

Cats may not need certification to be official lap cats, but Hadrian has it covered! This 16-pounds of pure lovin' is as sweet as sweet can get! He was taken care by loving people who found him in their yard. They thought it would be best to let him stay in their garage until a rescue could take him. They would have kept him if it weren't for the fact that they already had too many furbabies! When he was brought for a checkup, it was discovered that he was FIV+.

That may sound a bit scary, but we can assure you that it's not as bad as some may think it to be. Yes, the virus causes the cat's immune system to not function at full capacity. They are more prone to illnesses, so regular checkups make sure that they are in tip top shape. The virus only affects felines through deep, penetrating puncture wounds. Sharing the same water bowl and grooming are not efficient ways for the virus to spread to other felines. The best option for a FIV+ kitty is to remain in indoor cat. Despite this fact, Hadrian goes about each day like any other kitty!

Hadrian comes over when you call for him, jumps on laps, revs his purr engine, and gladly accepts any form of attention, including but not limited to pettings! He has a bit of a ticklish side if you rub his belly too much. So, it's probably best if he went to a home where there are no young children who might get play-kicked by this strongman. Anytime you want a Velcro kitty who will actually sit on your lap, give Hadrian a call!

His adoption donation is $115 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter.

If you would like more information on Hadian, please contact lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com.

If you would like to fill out an online application, please visit https://lovingcarecatrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/

Please note: LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed. All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets.
