Haddock's Story

Haddock is one of those cats who just needs a little time to decide that you’re alright. He can be a bit shy when he first meets someone, but it doesn’t take him long to warm up and start coming over for some attention. He’s about a year old, neutered, and up to date on his vaccines. Date of Birth: 09/04/2025 Haddock enjoys having some feline friends around and especially likes playing with the kittens when we have them. He may not be the cat who immediately climbs into your lap and settles in for a three-hour nap, but he does like being around his people and is always happy to come over and say hello. He’s a sweet, easygoing guy who would love a home where he can take his time getting comfortable and then be your quiet little companion once he does. Bellwether Harbor's Adoption Policy

Bellwether Harbor does not do same day adoptions. Please keep in mind multiple visits to the shelter may be required. This number is determined various factors including the potential adopter’s experience and the training level/potential behavior issues of the animal. If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat, please fill out an application on the shelter website. After the application has been received, the Adoption Coordinator will conduct a landlord check and vet check (where applicable). If approved, applicants are contacted for a phone interview, after which an appointment may be set up to meet the animal. Please note: Applying for an animal does not guarantee adoption of said animal. Adoptions are approved based on a variety of factors. We do our best to match animals with the best homes, not the first homes. It is possible that adoption of a specific animal will be denied even if the application is approved.
