Hi, I’m Habanero! <br/><br/>I’m a big, chunky orange boy with gorgeous deep-orange swirls... and yes, I came to Furball Farm SPICY, which is exactly how I earned my name. <br/><br/>It took a whole lot of time, patience, hisses, treats, and learning that humans weren’t so bad to get where I am today. Now? I’ve turned into quite the lovey guy. <br/><br/>I still need people to go slow with me at first. When I move into my forever home, I’ll probably hide while I figure everything out. My family will need to give me the time and patience I need to feel safe. But once I trust you, you’ll get to see the real Habanero.<br/><br/>I LOVE a good lovin’ session. When I’m ready for attention, I’ll walk right up and meow at you... and you are not prepared for my meow. This big chunky guy has the tiniest little baby-kitten meow! If you think you’re finished petting me, I may even follow you to politely inform you that you are, in fact, not finished.<br/><br/>Sit down on the floor and I might come rub all over you asking for affection. I’m also a huge fan of lickable treats, crunchy treats, catnip, cozy blankets, and soaking up the sunshine. <br/><br/>I absolutely love my cat friends and would do best in a home with other cats. <br/><br/>I am considered special needs because I’m FIV positive, but that’s nothing to be scared of! The Furball humans are always happy to answer your questions about FIV. Oh, and I recently had my teeth cleaned, so my smile is sparkling and ready for my close-up. <br/><br/>I may have started out as one spicy Habanero, but underneath all that spice was a sweet boy just waiting for someone patient enough to find him. <br/><br/>Come meet me at Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary any day from 1–5 PM!<br/><br/>My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell — I really am a wonderful cat.<br/><br/>I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV positive, FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV.
