GW's Story
GW Is a very sweet boy that was living outside of an apartment complex looking for food and shelter.
Poor boy must have been abandoned because he is so nice!
We took him in to be neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and tested for feline leukemia negative and FIV (aids) positive, which is not a death sentence, he can live just as long as any other cat and is only spread through blood so he would have to bite someone or someone would have to bite him in order to contract it and he would never bite someone he is so sweet and gentle.
They suggested I take him for x-rays of his kidneys because one seemed to be enlarged. The x-rays show that he does have an enlarged kidney and he was very constipated. We were able to help with the constipation and treated him with antibiotics for any chance of a kidney infection and then rechecked.
The 2nd x-ray showed the kidney was still enlarged and may not be very functional but was told by the vet that cats like people can live a regular life with just one good kidney.
He is so sweet, that we are hoping someone is willing to adopt him regardless of this!!
If you are interested in GW (Gray/White) or any of our castaway cats, please fill out our application at castawaycatsde.com
