Gus is a sweet guy who hasn't let a rough 2024 get him down! He has undergone several surgical procedures and has had a long recovery in foster home after having been hit by a car last year. Gus is thrilled to be free of his cone and no longer under exercise restriction. He is friendly, funny, talkative, and ready for a forever home. He hopes to find a best human friend who will shower him in attention and keep him safe from those scary outdoor dangers. He will be sure to great you at the door and talk your ear off until you get him a plate of food or a quick snack. That distinctive orange nose and incredibly long tail just add to his good looks and charm.<br/><br/>Gus adoption fee is $175 which includes core vaccinations (age appropriate), microchip & spay/neuter (completed). *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. Congratulations on deciding to rescue an animal in need. Everything we do for these animals is based on helping them find a great forever home and we are excited for the lucky animal that you will welcome into your home. Requirements for Adoption *You must be over 21 to adopt *You must fill out either a Cat Adoption Application or a Dog Adoption Application *All resident animals must be up to date on shots and have been altered (or a vet letter as to why they are not altered). *All members of the household must be in agreement to adopt an animal. *All members of the household are required to be at the meet and greet prior to final adoption. *You are required to have your animal spayed or neutered per IL state Law. Failure to do so will result in the relinquishment of your animal back to HWMAR. ** ** PER IL STATE LAW (225 ILCS 605/3.3), you are REQUIRED to have your animal spayed or neutered within 14 days of being deemed healthy by a licensed veterinarian. This is Non-Negotiable.
