Gus's Story

Some cats walk into your life and steal your heart-Gus just needs a little time to figure out that you're a friend first! This sweet boy came to the shelter from a hoarding situation and is now searching for the forever home he deserves. Shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for Gus, and he can be nervous and unsure when meeting new people or adjusting to new surroundings. But beneath that cautious exterior is a true lovebug who blossoms with patience, kindness, and trust. While he may not be a fan of the hustle and bustle of the shelter, he has happily soaks up all the love and attention offered by staff and volunteers while he waits for his family to find him. Gus would likely enjoy a home with another friendly cat to help him feel comfortable, and he would likely do well with respectful children who can understand that he may need some time to settle in and build confidence. If you're looking for a gentle companion and are willing to give him the patience he needs, Gus will reward you with a lifetime of love and affection. If adoption isn't in the cards right now, you can still make a difference by clicking the donate button below Gus's profile. It would be pawsitively amazing!
