Gus - a female ;-)'s Story
Meet Gus!

Gus is a cute little cow kitty who was rescued from a neighborhood after being abandoned. Her rescuer thought she was a male, hence the name Gus, lol. Gus is a small kitty but she has become a bit of a butterball. We have her on a little bit of a diet to get her back down to a more petite size.

Gus is super sweet and affectionate. She absolutely loves having her head and ears rubbed and she will roll around and flirt to get her human's attention. Our vet estimated her at approximately 4 to 5 years old.

Gus wants to be an indoor only kitty. She's had her fill of living outdoors, competing with raccoons and skunks in the neighborhood. She would also want to be the only cat in her home so she can be the focus of her humans attention. She is currently in a foster home with another kitty, but not thrilled with sharing.

This little cutie is going to make someone a terrific companion. Perfect to snuggle with after a long day.

**Important: Indigo Rescue adopts cats to indoor-only homes or homes with catios. We do this for the safety and longevity of the cats and we hope that our community will learn from our example. Outdoor cats or indoor/outdoor cats fall victim to many predators, including coyotes, eagles, hawks, owls, and even loose neighborhood dogs. They can be hit by cars, poisoned, or trapped and taken away by people who don’t like cats trespassing on their property. They can also spread diseases such as feline leukemia and FIV, neither of which are treatable. Cats will live a very long, enriched life with just a companion kitty as a playmate, a few toys and a cat tree. Please consider re-thinking your cats lives. Thank you!!

**Please note: Indigo rescue only adopts to homes within 30 miles of Beaverton, Oregon. The first part of our process is to have you complete our online adoption application. This helps us make compatible matches. You can find the application on our Indigorescue.org website under the adoption tab. We’ll get back to you from there to hopefully arrange a meet for you.
