Gumdrop arrived at the cat lounge last September with her sister Salsa, both very shy and frightened. The two quickly made the litterbox room their hideout. Gumdrop responds well to pets, though sometimes she tries to put up a front. With consistent affection, however, she eventually melts. So long as she is approached gently, she especially enjoys head scratches and will relax into your hand when her ears and cheeks are massaged. She doesn’t appear bothered by the other cats and will even join a cuddle pile from time to time, but she is generally independent and wouldn’t mind being a solo cat either. Someone experienced with cats who wants to give a shy baby a chance would be ideal for her.
