Groot's Story
Introducing "The Boys Who Lived"!
Each of these babies, Groot, Marble, and Oliver were found alone, scared, sick, and desperately trying to survive the brutal Memphis summer heat. They were singletons who came together to became brothers. After months of medical care and lots of love, they have become healthy, happy, and ready to find their forever families.

GROOT (Groot Granger) was rescued from a tree at the height of summer, and he was so, so scared. We don't know how his start began, but it definitely took a toll on him. It took several days for GROOT to get acclimated and begin to trust his foster family. But soon enough he was venturing close, sitting near, and purring softly. In a few weeks time he was holding his tail high with confidence, flopping over to show off his tummy, and welcoming scratches, pets, and kisses. GROOT doesn't behave like the stereotypical orange cat. He is cautious, contemplative, and so smart! He is also extremely loyal to the humans who love him and to his foster cat brothers. He is bonded to his foster brothers, MARBLE and OLIVER, and would prefer to be adopted with one (or both) of them.
Come meet this special cat today! It might take a little time to get to know GROOT, but it is so worth it!

We are currently adopting out animals by appointment only Tuesday through Sunday 1:00 P.M. through 4:00 P.M. with an approved application.
