Grilled Cheese

Grilled Cheese is a stunning 8 year old tortie who joined us when her owner had to move into a care facility. It was a difficult transition for her, moving from a warm and quiet home with her owner to a lively shelter filled with cats and strangers. Understandably, she was quite scared and angry when she first arrived. Grilled Cheese is starting to settle in, but we can tell that she still finds it overwhelming and that she wishes for the stability and comfort of a furrever home. We are crossing our paws that this sweet girl's wishes come true soon! <br/><br/>Grilled Cheese may take time to open up to new people, but once she warms up to you, she is comfortable with you in her space. She will give your hand a little sniff, but she is not quite ready for pets yet. She used to be a lap cat in her old home, so we believe that once she is settled into a stable and calm environment, her sweet and affectionate side will continue to blossom. Grilled Cheese will thrive in an adult-only home. She is not a fan of her feline friends and needs to be the only kitty. We are unsure how she would feel about living with a dog. Grilled Cheese has no health concerns and uses her litter box purrfectly. <br/><br/>Time and time again, we witness a "spicy" cat, like Grilled Cheese, find loving homes and transform into total love bugs and loyal companions. Grilled Cheese just needs someone to give her that chance!
