Once impounded, these cats often have no other option than relocation. Barn cat programs are a relatively new initiative in the animal rescue industry. Amber's Angels Rescue is dedicated to securing safe homes for feral cats. Like many rescues, the rescue strives to relocate cats to barns, warehouses, or other privately owned properties that provide a safe environment for the cats to roam, including shelter, food, and water. While initially more stressful for the cats than returning them to their previous neighborhoods, these placements allow them to live out their lives comfortably and securely.*
