Greybeard's Story

Ahoy friends, meet Greybeard!

This GORGEOUS dude found himself abandoned (when his owners moved and left him behind) and injured in a neighborhood in Bluffton. Through a true community effort, the residents worked together to get him necessary vet care, a soft place to land his paws and now Salty Paws is helping him find his furever home.

He now knows his name ("Grey") and has healed from his injuries. He has a bit of a permanently wonky left ear, but we feel that gives him not only character but street cred. However, this is fellow now demands the lap of luxury. Being abandoned outside was clearly hard on this soft and gentle house cat; and he is not going back out there!

Grey is a bit shy at first, but oh so loving. He loves to be pet, sleep in the big bed at night and follows his foster mom around, always curious what she is up to. He has never once shown any sign of aggression, even after all that he has been through. Just a really sweet boy. He should do great in any kind, easy-going, indoor home that is maybe on the quieter side. He is intimidated by the 95-lbs. dog in the foster home, but overall, we are not really sure how he would do with another cat-friend dog or cat.

Grey is estimated at 3 years old, weighs in at 11.4 lbs., has stellar house manners and litter box habits, is healthy and ready to find his family. Is that you?

If you are interested in adopting Greybeard, please fill out our required application, which can be found here:

https://new.shelterluv.com/form/cat/SPLC/148478-community-cat-adoptions

For the safety of our animals, home visits/checks are a requirement of adoption, but we make that as unobtrusive and convenient as we can.

Thank you for considering a rescue cat!
