Gretel's Story

A shy girl who knows a lot of words. She loves talking back and forth with people in chirps and clicks. She will find a corner of a room where she can watch everyone as she settles in, but is always ready to come out for dinner or head pats. She plays well with her brother, Hansel, and they watch out for each other around other pets, so they'd love to go to the same home.<br/><br/>PLEASE NOTE: Our kittens are happiest and thrive the best when they have a buddy. We love to see ours adopted in pairs or into homes where a friendly cat is already waiting to play and snuggle. We do this to help prevent Single Kitten Syndrome. The only time we'll place a solo kitten into a home is if their listing says they need to be the one-and-only cat in the house.<br/><br/>All of our rescues are FeLV/FIV tested, given age appropriate vaccines, spayed/neutered, and microchipped! Cattyshack, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

First and foremost, Cattyshack adoptions involve filling out a non-binding application. We really want to process every detail on the app and feel good that we are sending the kitty home with the best possible fit. We also don’t enjoy having a cat returned three days later because you’ve decided scooping a litter box isn’t your thing, or your SO broke up with you and doesn’t want the kitten you gave her as “a gift”. We will do a vet reference to make sure any current animals you own are up to date on vaccines and spayed/neutered, so go ahead and get that done before you even bother with an application. We all want to feel like you are REALLY, TRULY, 100% ABSOLUTELY going to commit 15-20 years to this kitten, or 10+ years to the adult cat your are adopting. That’s a big deal. So thank you in advance for your patience with our adoption process.
