Gretel 's Story

***NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat under 3 for company. Two is better than one, twice the fun and 1/2 the work***
Update Jan 11th - Gretel has joined Midnight and Hansel at the Ruffins Pet Store, 1760 Upper James St in Hamilton

Please read Gretel's bio, requirements for adoption and if you think she will be a good fit then go to avacats.org and fill out an online application form. An adoption co ordinator will be in touch
Gretel and her littermates Midnight , Vito, Pumpkin , Snoopy ( adopted) Hansel and her mom Princess came in to our rescue early December. They were found up in a hay loft back in November when 2 kittens fell out and unfortunately didn't survive the horses below. The owners took the mom and kittens in to a spare bathroom in their home so they would be safe and reached out to us. It took us several weeks to find a foster home - They have thrived and now ready to find their forever homes. Gretel has been flea treated, dewormed twice, received her 1st FVCRP vaccine and microhip. Her 2nd FVCRP vaccine then rabies is the responsibility of her new owner and must be completed prior to her spay by AVA at 5 months of age which is included in her $275 adoption fee. Gretel loves to play, cuddle and get into trouble with her littermates . She would love to find a home with one of them if not she MUST go to a home with another kitten or young cat ( under 3 ) to keep her company. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. It is recommended that you start her out in a small room with food, litter and toys til she adjusts to her new environment. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. Little kittens are not appropriate for children under the age of 6.
