Gretchen's Story
My name is Gretchen and when I came to CCC, my brother was with me. Initially we both were scared and hid in the Cozy Quiet Corner with Joey, but slowly we became more confident and started to move around and explore the shelter.
What I've learned about the shelter is that there are a lot of comfortable spots to take a nap and if you are not hiding, people will pet you, which feels real good. I enjoy people watching and watching the other cats play. I'm not quite to the point of asking them to join in their games, but maybe sometime I will get the courage. There is also a TV, which I enjoy watching.
Recently my brother got adopted, leaving me here alone. I'm happy for him but wonder what it would be like to have a family of my own.
I need a family who would give me time to acclimate to a new environment since change can be hard. But once I'm comfortable, I can be your best friend, as long as you give me lots of pets and have a tv I can watch.
