Gretchen's Story

Birthday: 10/20/2023

Sex: Spayed Female

Breed: Domestic shorthair
Traits: Good with other cats, kids and dogs!

Fee: $150. Our cats come vet checked, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventative treatment for fleas/ticks/worms.

About Me: Gretchen arrived at Gutter Cat on August 3rd after being found unable to move in a backyard. Although she had no broken bones or major injuries, she was extremely weak and could only eat while lying on her side. With time and dedicated physical therapy, she slowly regained her strength. Within a few weeks she could sit up, then take a few shaky steps, and after two months she was walking steadily. Now, almost three months later, she’s about 90% recovered. She moves quickly, manages a few stairs, and continues to improve every day. Gretchen is food-motivated, affectionate, and very social. She uses her litter box reliably and is comfortable around other cats, dogs of all sizes, and even the foster mom’s parakeets. She’s vocal at mealtime, loves to cuddle during TV time, and enjoys batting around her toy mouse or chasing a shoelace. Her fur is very short and velvety soft. She is a loving, resilient cat ready for a safe, quiet home where she can continue to thrive.

If you are interested in applying please scan the QR code or visit linktr.ee/guttercatadoptions to find our application.
