Grayling's Story

Grayling, born approximately July 27, 2022, is a beautiful all-gray, short-haired female cat brought into ACAT custody after she and her kitten were trapped. There is no real history on Grayling's past. Her kitten found a forever home shortly after being placed in a foster home; however, Grayling has been very shy and slow to trust humans. In her current foster home she is very observant, watching everything that goes on. Her foster parents pet, brush, and give her attention daily, and when visitors arrive, she usually allows them to pet or brush her. She has even begun to go to "safe spaces" to wait for attention. She will need a human with patience, love, and understanding to win her heart.

Grayling does enjoy treats and soft food as well as eating hard food. At first, she would only eat when no humans were around, but now she freely eats, drinks, and walks around whether humans are there or not. She also would not eat soft food or treats in front of humans, but now readily does.

Grayling is very interested in kittens, but does not really cuddle with other adult cats. She may do well as an only cat, but we do not recommend a noisy or rambunctious environment. She is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and spayed. She is litter trained as well.
