GrayGray (& Tiger Bone)'s Story
Happy Valentine’s Day!! When you look up the word ‘love’ in the dictionary, this might be the picture you see.

Tiger Bone and GrayGray arrived to the shelter at different times, though they did come from the same home. They were housed individually at first but after a couple weeks of both cats being fearful and not really interested in making friends with any staff or volunteers, we decided to try reintroducing them. And... it worked.

Tiger Bone is the big-cheeked tabby and white cat, and he went from hissy with airplane ears to slow blinks and asking for pets! GrayGray is the petite golden-eyed gray beauty who was so scared and swatty at first; she’s feeling better now though still much shyer and not quite ready to make new friends yet. But the almost immediate transformation that happened when they were reunited has shown us that anything is possible for these two, as long as they’re together. They’re SO much more relaxed and content together, and that’s what matters right now!

These two are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. GrayGray needs Tiger Bone to be her constant companion and security blanket, and though Tiger Bone might look big and tough we think he needs GrayGray just as much. If you have a quiet home and plenty of patience to let these two diamonds in the rough have the time they need to shine, come on in to our Lorton Campus to meet them!

These two are eligible for an Adoption Audition, too! That means you can take them home for a two-week, no-strings-attached trial adoption period. If it works out (or if you’d like to skip that and just finalize the adoption paperwork from the start!), you can adopt both for just one adoption fee.
