Granny Cat's Story

We tagged this beautiful kitty out of the Arlington shelter. She was scheduled to be euthanized because she is 8 years old and missing her two front teeth so her tongue sticks out sometimes. Her name was Granny Cat when we met her but she is not yet a senior. Maybe her new family will find a pretty name for her. She is very sweet and quiet, but not exactly affectionate. No one wanted to adopt this sweet girl. She is such a pleasure to have around. She quietly follows me everywhere and loves to eat can food and treats. She was ear tipped so that should mean that she is a feral kitty but we don't really think she is. She seeks human companionship and is very well-behaved indoors. She gets along splendidly with children, other kitties at our rescue and even small dogs that do not chase her. When I hold her in my arms she has never once scratched or tried to escape. If you would like to meet this sweet girl and maybe welcome her into your family then if it does not work out well for you or for her then she is always returnable to our rescue. We have never heard her purr yet, maybe you will be the one that finally makes her feel cherished enough to purr again. Please contact us if you would like to schedule and appt to meet her.
