Gracie's Story

semi-feral & learning life one tiny step at a timeHi, I’m Gracie — a semi-feral girl with a gentle spark.
I’m 2 years old and have been at the shelter since April, slowly learning to trust the world. I came in with very little experience around people, so I’m still skeptical of humans, but I’m beginning to come around — tiny steps, quiet moments, and lots of patience go a long way with me.

I do best in a calm, low-activity home with someone who understands that progress won’t happen overnight. Because I’m semi-feral and still unsure about hands, you can gently pet me with a scratcher for now — it helps me feel safe while we build our bond. With continued socializing, I’m showing more and more curiosity and softness each day.

I’m part of the Take A Chance On Me program, which means my adoption fee is lowered to help me find the right match.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill put an application online at ahimsahaven.org .

Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only.

As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.
