Gracie's Story
One look at Gracie and you'll understand—she’s the very definition of cozy, calm, and quietly affectionate. With her gentle demeanor and wise eyes, she radiates what we lovingly call "big grandma energy."

When Gracie first arrived at Cats in the City Rescue, she was quite shy and reserved. But over time, she’s truly blossomed into one of the sweetest companions we've had the pleasure of knowing. Her transformation has been slow and steady—just the way she prefers. These days, she enjoys lounging in sunny spots, playing with her favorite toys, and spending time with favorite chosen people.

Gracie may take a little while to feel completely at home, but once she does, you might just earn the coveted privilege of lap time. She’s the type to greet your guests politely, but she won’t be vying for the spotlight in a large party.

She is currently on an anti-anxiety medication to help with the rehoming transition. She’s also on a prescription urinary diet as a precaution, but her most recent vet visit suggests she may be able to switch to a standard diet down the line—with guidance from her future vet.

Gracie would thrive in a calm, quiet home—preferably one without dogs or young children. She’s had experience living with another cat before, but she’s a bit of an independent spirit and would do best as the only cat in the household. If you're considering bringing another cat into the mix, we recommend adopting her first as a single cat and taking the introduction process slowly when the time is right.

Gracie is ready to bring warmth, love, and peaceful companionship to the right home. If you’re looking for a sweet soul who’ll reward your patience with loyalty and silly moments, she just might be your perfect match.

Interested in meeting Gracie?
