Grace's Story

Sweet Grace lived on the streets for the first 2 months of her life with her mom and 3 siblings. Her life changed when she went into a KRC trap to have a meal. All the signals led us to believe she was too feral to tame, so we were going to spay and release her back to her cat family, which is why she sports a notch in her left ear. Grace had other ideas. When she awakened from anesthesia, she was a different cat! She rubbed up on the sides of her enclosure and purred when the vet staff stuck their fingers inside to give her love. Since then, she’s been fostering with 4 other kittens. She is shy and it takes a little coaxing to get her to come over for pets and she’s not fond of being held. Once she becomes comfortable with her forever home and family, she will likely become more relaxed. She will need a calm environment during the adjustment phase and having a feline friend might be helpful. She has not been around dogs yet. Her estimated DOB is June 1, 2025. (Many attempts have been made to capture her mama and one remaining sibling so they could be fixed and released, but they have refused to enter our traps.)
