Gourdo's Story

Adopt Gourdo! Gourdo is estimated to be approximately 4-6 years old. He is as handsome as he is sweet! He loves to be held like a baby and snuggled on your chest, he loves to sleep with you at night, and he loves to play with want toys or anything that bounces!

We don't know his full history, but he is a little scared of loud sounds or unexpected startles so I think he might have been abandoned and frightened or experienced a bit of trauma in some way. However, he gets used to new people quickly and does best with a soothing voice to comfort him.

Gourdo was timestamped at our partner shelter due to lack of interest and him becoming very depressed in his cage. Once he was with us, he received treatment for an ear infection, an eye surgery (entropion) to fix his eyelids and a hernia repair surgery. He was an angel for all of his medication and vet appointments! He truly is such a sweet, good boy who would make such a loving companion!

He has a bit of a skin allergy that we suspect is from chicken-based foods. He does better on a seafood based diet, and we will support any adopter with any ongoing treatment (if any) needed for his itchiness! At this point, he is not on a prescription diet.

Gourdo does well with most cats and dogs. He would likely do well with kids who like to play but are old enough to not startle him too much. He is extremely gentle and well-behaved though!

Please consider adding him to your family! He has been through so much and is so deserving!

Apply at fosterthefurbabies.org/application
