Gothel's Story
Gothel came to GM with a group born to two sister community cat moms and raised outdoors in their early weeks. Gothel seemed to be the shyest one of the 9 kittens and wouldn’t engage with the humans at the shelter, preferring to hide when a lot of activity was going on in the kitten room.

However, she was adopted with a kitten named Lucky Day and they were later returned because of their guardian’s health issues. Gothel is a very sweet girl who does like attention. She doesn’t act like it while at the shelter, but in her home, she did great. She was very nervous at first, but after a day or two of hiding, she felt more comfortable venturing out.

She loved her human family, which included two young girls, and always wanted to be around them. She purred a lot when she was close by and was happy getting pets. She would rub against them and sit beside them, sometimes on their laps for a short period of time. She wasn’t a fan of being picked up and does not like people coming towards her face, and prefers being pet from the side or behind. Her previous family said she was very affectionate. She is also playful and is super fast. So don’t let her shyness at the shelter deter you from considering her. Once away from the shelter, she is a fantastic companion.

While Gothel and Lucky Day were great friends in their home, once they came back to the shelter, they stopped hanging around with each other. But one kitty Gothel did seek out was her brother Dr. Facilier. They are often seen curled up together and seemed happy to be reunited. Because of this, we decided to make them a bonded pair so they could stay together forever. They are both shy but they are hoping a very special family will give them a chance. They will require patience while they adjust to their new home.

Gothel is bonded with Dr. Facilier and they must be adopted together!
