Gordo's Story
Gordo is an approximately 3+ year old cat. HIs current foster family has known him for the full3 years but never really had the space to foster him until now, especially after cats were getting killed from the area he was roaming. He was living in the outdoors this whole time, but he is incredibly too sweet for that life. Since their first meet up, Gordo has always been an incredibly kind and sweet cat that would follow his human friends around as they would give food to other colony street cats in whatever area he happened to be in. He enjoyed brushing himself against any surface, his human friends included! He’d search for pets first before actually eating food that was given to him. Essentially, Gordo was a cat that was ever trusting towards any human he seemed to get in contact with, and would typically be seen every day being his sweet self.

After, the worry for Gordo’s life began to arise, Gordo was lucky and was rescued from that cat colony. As far as his current fosters were aware, Gordo has been a street cat his entire life. Yet he has had an easy time transitioning from street cat to house cat after a few short days!

Gordo is incredibly sweet, enjoying his quiet time and taking chances to sleep on comfortable beds and sofas. He will curl up right next to you as you scroll on your phone or work at your computer. Gordo is also excited to receive attention and pets, and will get up from his beloved naps just to have your love! He’s gentle and tolerant with other cats, and would never throw claws or hiss at anyone. Gordo is positive for FIV, most likely from being attacked by another positive street cat, BUT Gordo has no mean bone in his body. All he wants is to receive unconditional love!

So please—don’t let that his FIV status stop you! Do not fall into the stigma. There’s a lot of misinformation about FIV, and the truth is:

Gordo is perfectly healthy
He requires no medication
FIV cats can live long, happy lives and;
They can even live with other non-aggressive cats

Gordo is truly one-of-a-kind. His loving nature, resilience, and gentle spirit make him the kind of cat that changes people’s hearts. He’s like a cat in a dog’s body—loyal, cuddly, and full of joy.

Gordo deserves the best home—one that sees past the label and into the incredible soul he is. Everyone who meets him falls in love. Now he just needs someone to give him the forever he’s waited so patiently for.

Please give Gordo a chance—because he deserves nothing less than a lifetime of love. Once you meet him, you will know how special this boy is.

Adoption fee is $300 and includes the transportation, deworming, vaccinations, FEL/FIV testing, neuter / spay surgery, and microchip.

To apply to adopt , please email us at projectsavingpawsrescue@gmail.com for an application!
