Gordo's Story

Here we have Gordo. This guy's story like so many other rescues is disturbing. After nearly 8 years of living with one owner he was being surrendered. I can't go into details as to his situation but this often results in cats being abandoned if we refuse to take them in. After offering several suggestions I got the feeling he was going to be kicked to the curb by the response so we took this handsome fella in. We noticed immediately he seemed very depressed and wouldn't eat. His meow sounded like cries for help. People who say cats don't show emotions have never spent time in a rescue! We are glad to say that Gordo is doing much better now with the help of some friends here at the rescue. He has come out of his shell and is enjoying life again. He likes hanging with his buddy Felix the most. (Pictured Below). Gordo is fully vetted and very healthy! We had him combo tested for leukemia (Negative) and updated on all his vaccines as well as dewormed and flea treated. He is a well behaved boy that requires very little attention but doesn't mind pets and play time if you're up to it! Please consider adopting Gordo and let's give him another chance at a happy life.
